The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) Health Community of Practice is pleased to host the next community teleconference on Tuesday, July 19th from 11:00AM-12:30PM EDT (GMT-4). During this telecon, Michael Wimberly (Univ. of Oklahoma) and Dawn Nekorchuk (Univ. of Oklahoma) will share an update on the Arbovirus Mapping and Prediction (ArboMAP) to Forecast Mosquito-Borne Disease Outbreaks. Then, Thilanka Munasinghe (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) and Assaf Anyamba (NASA Goddard/USRA) will describe the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute-NASA Student Engagement collaboration, and Jon Harris (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) will present the findings of his class project. This telecon will offer recommendations to enhance collaborations and student engagement on projects that integrate Earth observations in vector-borne disease research applications.
