Sponsored by CONIDA and the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), this event will provide a regional platform for the AmeriGEO community to share research activities or program updates, identify priority areas where Earth observation data can advance initiatives in the area of sustainable development, and enhance professional networks. Session topics will focus on the AmeriGEO thematic communities, including water resources management, food security and sustainable agriculture, disaster resilience, and biodiversity and ecosystem sustainability. Current participants in AmeriGEO Flagships, Initiatives, Community Activities or Foundational Tasks are invited to attend the event and share experiences with the AmeriGEO community. Additionally, those persons who are interested to learn more about the use of Earth observation data and information are invited to attend and become involved in the diverse activities of the AmeriGEO community. Six training courses will also be offered by remote sensing and data management experts at the PUCP main campus.
